In the chain belt conveyor the "carrying" and "moving" functions are divided between different com-ponents. The belt carries the bulk material while bush conveyor chains attached to the side of the belt perform the task of moving the load. This combination is suitable for conveying large loads at low speeds. Off-centre wandering of the belt, as occurs with conventional belt conveyors, is excluded thanks to the use of sprockets for chain guidance. Chain belt conveyors are often used in receiving and dosing units. Large quantities can be received in a short time and dispensed in doses over a long period of time.
